About Ash

Ash Baker is a queer, neurodivergent, registered yoga teacher offering group classes, workshops, and private yoga sessions in the New Haven area. Through breath and movement, their teaching emphasizes empowering students to cultivate creativity and a sense of inner safety. Drawing on her own journeys of recovery and gender identity, Ash honors individuals where they are and holds space for their unique needs.

Through inclusive artistic and movement-based practices, Ash invites students to find joy in the present through intentional exploration of and grounding in the senses. Tools they employ include meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, Ayurvedic wisdom, asana (yoga postures), and multi-sensory experiences.

Ash holds an RYT-500 designation from Yoga Alliance, having completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Sanapurna Yoga & Ayurveda Centre in Zurich, Switzerland (RYT-200), and an additional 300-hour Yoga Teaching Training at Breathing Room Community, Yoga, and Wellness Center in New Haven, Connecticut. Ash teaches studio classes, offers workshops, and works one-on-one with clients in the New Haven, CT area.
